In the garden and dreaming with a Belize Coin necklace

Purple pearl Belize coin necklace hanging on flowering plants

Yes Belize is most certainly on my bucket list. Yes I want to see and experience the islands,
mountains, rainforest and coast that it offers. Plus Belize is a wonderland of flowers. Yes please!
Those lush islands where purple orchids grow freely sounds magical and is exactly why I used
purple pearls in my Belize coin necklace. To me it just feels like Belize.

If you love the color purple, freshwater pearls and have been or maybe still dreaming about
Belize like I am then this necklace is for you!

Hello army green or olive green (they're basically the same.) This neutral color with delicious
warm undertones is so good. It Allows you to easily transition into Fall.

You can't go wrong pairing it with warm copper jewelry. They are opposites on the color wheel
and thats a good thing! They compliment each other.

So grab your green and make a statement with casual long riveted copper heart necklace and armful
of cuffs with a cool ring to boot. They give you a playful little edge.

Adventuring through Asheville, NC with an artisan necklace

wearing an artisan necklace in Asheville, NC

My sister and her husband spent Labor Day weekend in Asheville NC. It's one of their favorite places!
If you havne't been it's located in the BLue Ridge Mountains. The Downtown Art District is filled with
galleries and museums, and in the nearby River Arts District, former factory buildings house artists' studios.

So wearing one of my handcrafted necklaces seemed appropriate for their adventure. This necklace says
"Live Free" and they most certainly do!

Have a heart necklace to keep your loved one close

wearing striped tee with long heart necklace

Wild Love is what I named this long heart necklace. Because you can add initial charms (if you choose)
to the bottom of this heart. Initials of those people that you love like crazy. In this case Cameron is
wearing and has charms for her 2 favorite humans - her children!

While this certainly works well for a "Mom" necklace it's meant for anyone with or without charms.
Maybe your fur babies are the ones you wildly love. By all means add those initials could be used in
my mixed metal, casual style necklace.

Armed with a book & a bracelet for National read a book day!

wearing a ring 7 pink bracelet with a book

Today is National Read a Book Day! And I'm thrilled because its blazing hot outside on this Labor Day
weekend. The beaches look overly crowded and didn't look to safe to me.  So I was quite happy
to hunker down with one of my favorite authors. I slipped on a festive bracelet, poured a big glass
of my favorite ide tea and settled in to read City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert.

I love to read and don't always make time for it as much as I would like too. So today was a great
reminder to take some time to enjoy a good story and good writing. And this book is wonderful. I
can't put it down!

Arm yourself with earthy copper jewelry

green plant with copper jewelry
Due to its natural orange earth tone, copper is a beautiful jewelry metal. Over time, copper will not
rust but instead develop a natural green patina. This is because copper oxidizes and a chemical reaction
turns the metal green.

About that green...
Will wearing copper make your skin green? Yes. Unfortunately, this is part of the copper jewelry
experience. While many assume this is due to low-quality copper, it’s actually a chemical reaction.

When copper mixes with skin sweat, it oxidizes and sometimes leaves a greenish hue on your skin.
This is chelated copper which does not absorb into the skin, rather stays behind and leaves a stain.
That said, copper stains aren’t permanent and can be washed off with soapy water.
In fact, many believe chelated copper to have health benifits.

My copper bracelets and ring can be touch often while wearing. I encourage you to touch often.
Why? Because copper is also an antimicrobial metal. That means it KILLS virus. Yep, you
heard that right!

Boho style with a peasant top & layered necklace

wearing white boho top & gemstone necklace

Nowadays, in relation to style, "boho" is a term used to define things that are unconventional
and artistic with a hippie influence. Boho style is characterized by long flowing or tiered skirts and dresses,
and peasant blouses. The look is often layered and colorful. My colorful layered necklace fits right in
with a boho outfit.

And I named this necklace Turquoise Island Get-Away so it has some extra adventure energy
built into it. LOL
